Gene, I’ll fix this profile. Per Hal Bradley’s well documented article (TAG 86:296+), Mary was daughter of Wm Phillips by his first wife Mary (Bishop) Phillips, was born in England, and it can be assumed emigrated with her parents by 1639, so she should be PGM. I’ll need to be on trusted list for some of these changes. Ray

Hi Raymond,

Thank you. A couple of thoughts,

(1) The current profile, as "Mary (Stanley) Field," is not yet PGM, nor PPP. You have properly severed her link to Christopher Stanley, so she is now linked only as the wife of Robert Field, Sr., who is PGM but also not PPP.

Might you update her profile as to LNAB, and narrative before she is tagged as PMG?

(2) As Hal Bradley's article is behind a paywall, might you include in the individual reference notes the sources cited by Bradley in support of his various claims?

Thank you again for your work to help sort out the Standley-Phillips issues, and for supporting WikiTree. --Gene.

Hi Gene,

As you have seen, some of Hal Bradley's Parish-record references cannot be viewed directly online.  I can ask Hal what he did to view them, for example going to the Family History Lib to view the images.  After encountering a couple of these, and before I was in contact with Hal, I thought that the best approach would be to reference his article despite the need for a subscription, in part because I could not check his references (not that I doubt them, but I do that as a rule).  Are you recommending that I insert something like (cites Tring, Hertfordshire parish records 1566-1971, FHL film 991338) in the Bradley references?  The style and sources guide doesn't address this situation.

Ray

Hal told us he viewed the image from the film. He may hav viewed the digitized images at a FHL, etc.

I included that information in the reference notes.
