Can't help you exactly, but I may be able to give you a clue. A million years or so ago, I was the editor of the Tribune-Chronicle daily newspaper in Warren, Ohio. This is not a million miles from Columbiana County. Pertinently, our sports editor at the time was the estimable Gerald Guy, a local man. I believe he lives in the area still. He was recently in evidence on the appalling Facebook. You might could seek him out. He could be of use in tracking genealogy in that neck of the woods.
