Sinnett Family History

Question

Charles Nelson Sinnett who compiled research about the Hathorn/Hathorne family also published a book about Sinnett genealogy. Rev. Charles Nelson Sinnett. Thanks for the information! My GG grandfather, Capt. Lemuel H. Stover is shown on page 34! I was so happy to see a picture of his first wife. I have many photographs at home - many of which are unlabeled and now I know what his first wife looked like! I hope to identify other people in the Stover, Sinnett and Dunning lines... Thanks!

Thanks. I have a copy of the book but unfortunitly I can't find any connection with my Patrick Sinnett b.1752 in Wexford, Ireland.

You're correct, John. There is no connection between Patrick Sinnett (Ireland & Virginia) & Michael Sinnett (Maine) -- at least on this side of the Atlantic. And since we don't know anything about Patrick's parents, we may never know what the connection is...

Sorry for the delay in not noticing these questions and notes earlier. Kitty, your right about finding any connection on this side of the pond. Since we know a lot of the Maine Sinnett history in Ireland it would be nice to have some of their DNA to match the history. I'm sure Corinne would love to compare it to what is already known. Maybe someday we will find the common relationship to all the Sinnett/Sinnott families here in America.
