Hebrew name (translation) please.

Question

Tombstone Inscription

"Avrohom ben Yehuda"

I know it's "Abraham the son of.... "

but I only have the death and burial of this chap (1900 in West Terrace Jewish Cemetery, Adelaide, South Australia), and hoping knowing what the Anglicised version of Yehuda is, might find his family.

Born ca 1816... no idea where.

Yehuda is Judah or Judas.

Thanks Jessica, that's logical, but this one for a monumental inscription for "Lewis" (anglicised?) as Yehuda Lev ben Yechutial, but then I'm pretty new to Hebrew naming, as my only family member was good ol' Sarah & Hannah & Abraham.

Yehuda Lev was his Hebrew name, his English name must have been Lewis, which is a logical anglicization of Lev.

Thanks for that... I'm not sure I'm any less confused by it all, but the bit about all converts taking Abraham & Sarah as their parents' names was fascinating. That'd catch a lot of us out, and may explain one oddity, at least, that I've come across.
