john and China West

I have been searching on and off for John West and China West, buried together in the Pere Cheney Cemetery, Crawford county Michigan.

I have figured out John's ancestry a bit, Parents are William and Dorcas West... However, I can not find anything on China West.

I can't find that John ever got married, and died in 1912 as single...

I don't know what else I can do... any ideas?

P.S. Pere Cheney Cemetery is located in the ghost town of Pere Cheney (central Plains) and no other hard copies of deaths are available.

This sounded interesting … so I did a search and found this website https://lostinmichigan.net/pere-cheney/ This post is from 2015, so a bit dated, but does have a little bit of history.

It is interesting how many remote cemeteries in this country have stories about lights and voices.  A very apt post for Halloween Eve,
It is very interesting and we only live about 4 miles from it... my daughter is actually getting married there today...

If you found that interesting... read this, and research it... https://the-line-up.com/pere-cheney

I remember feeling like I was cursed by a witch when I paid for my daughter's wedding. Joking aside, congratulations and enjoy the wedding.

There is a John West, born in September, 1847, who is listed in the 1900 U.S. Census of Frederic, Crawford County, Michigan in the household of Timothy Webster, who is listed as born in May, 1859, in Canada. John is listed as a "brother-in-law."  No spouse is listed.

I tried to pull it up on familysearch.org without success, probably because of my lack of familiarity with that site, but I bet that you - who are probably more gifted on that site than I am - can find it.

I wonder if that is your John and it if it makes sense to focus on the Webster family as his possible in-laws.

If so, I wonder if the marriage took place occurred between 1880 and 1900, when we're all hampered by lack of censuses and, possibly, if it took place in Canada
