Hello I'm new and looking for information that has been hard to put together. My ancestors were slaves of Robert W Sheffield (1808 - 1894) and they lived on his land in Cedar Springs, GA.
My great great grandmother Jane was listed as Mulatto (mixed race) on the 1870 census and can be found on Robert Sheffield's 1850 and 1860 Slave schedules.
I'm looking for any information that anyone my know about her or her husband George. Such as where were they buried? Or anything pictures of RW Sheffield or his slaves. Any information that may exist, about my enslaved ancestors would be appreciated. There are no records of my ancestors so I would appreciate any information.
