March 7th is Casimir Pulaski day! Seven U.S. states have named counties in Gen. Pulaski's honor. They are: Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, and Virginia.

They eat Polish donuts to celebrate this war hero smiley

Pulaski never married or had children, so he had no direct relatives in the United States. He would have to be connected through his Polish family.
Can anyone verify if this Polish line is correct ...

:.1 Jozef Pułaski 1703–1769; m: Marianna Zielinska 1721–1792
:..2 Kazimierz Pulaski 1748-1779
:..2 Tomaz Pulaski b: 1753 d: 28 Aug 1831 Gorzkow; m: Katarzyna Mirlanka 1761–1833
:...3 Thomas Pulaski 1816–1882 SC; m: Mary Ann Copeland 1821–1897

Pulaski is a pretty common surname. This is interesting. I will check Polish archives this weekend to see if they are his relatives, perhaps through his grandparents.
If anyone can add anything, I made wikitree profile Pulaski-65 for this FaG memorial. Irregardless of whether he is a relative to Casimir, I am trying to connect up his Copeland wife.

Also found 2 other wikitree profiles with the same name in South Carolina ...

:Thomas Pulaski-31, b: 1798 SC; d: 1870
:Tom Pulaski-41, b: 1854 SC.

update: The father of Casimir Pulaski did have a brother named Tomasz Pulaski b: 1701, and he has a FaG memorial at ...

Another possible connection that one could check is this rather long connection: Christina Dorothea von Campenhausen (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Von_Campenhausen-7) → her brother Johan Herman von Campenhausen → his son Johann Balthasar von Campenhausen → his son Johann Christoph Frhr. von Campenhausen, a. Randen → his wife Sophia Elisabeth von Mengden → her daughter Sophia Gerdruta von Fölckersahm → her husband Otto Magnus Graf von Stackelberg → his wife Helena Pshezdetska → her son prince Ludwik Mikolay Radziwill → his wife Marianna Walewska → her husband Ksawery Kolonna Walewski h. Pierzchała → his mother Joanna Walewska → her brother Casimir Pulaski
This is good for someone who has access to international sources!

When I was a kid growing up in IL in the early 70s, we got a day off from school for Casimir Pulaski Day. smiley

I found another wikitree profile who claimed to be related to the same Pulaski line ...
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pulaski-8

On his father's profile for Rudolph, I included his lineage from an ancestry.com family tree with the link ... but there are not enough sources to determine it's validity, so it should only be used as a research lead.

I also put some bio on the profile for Casimir's father, Josef, with his lineage & children's list (completeness unknown) from his wikipedia page. I do not see an obvious link to Tomaz or Edward, but some confusion may have been caused by anglcization of names or using middle names (which many catholics do).
