Is there any good reason why the free-space editor can't indicate that there is an unsaved profile?

I continue to find that I am losing edits to free-space profiles, even when I believe that I have just done a save. Only a few editors automatically save a draft to protect from a system crash. However, almost without exceptions they are built to indicate that the text has been edited and needs saving. How is it possible that this capability was not built into the WikiTree free-space editor? Is it technically too challenging to provide this simple functionality, since there are no plans to add the automatic saving of drafts which exists in the WikiTree profile editor?

On February 22, Jamie Nelson said "There is currently no estimate for when it will be available on Free-Space Profiles." (But she didn't say why.)  You might like to add jamie to your tags, so she will see.

Ros, Stephen Adey was the one who asked that question.
Yes, I noticed that. ;)

Hi, sorry, just saw this question and thought I would add my thoughts.

I have a very long Freespace page listing over 1500 burials with over 165 pictures of cemeteries.

I have learned to save every edit 3 times.  No kidding!

We are going to be working on adding draft saving to free space pages pretty soon.
Bless you, Jaime, for this and all you do in support of WikiTree.

And here it is over a YEAR later. What is the status of it now or does "pretty soon" just mean sometime in the next millennium?
