What happened to the descendant lists?

At one point the descendants tree appeared as an entry in the tools list under "Family tree and Tools".  On April 8th it was announced that it had moved to the profile page, where by default it always popped up when I opened the profile. This was a little annoying, especially for the older profiles with many descendants, but there was a button to hide the tree. Now I find that the descendant trees seem to be completely inaccessible. Leslie Cooper answered a similar query on April 19th (https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1406596/has-the-descendant-list-been-removed-from-family-tree-tools) that there should be a button on the profile page. This does not seem to work on my browser. What am I doing wrong?

It also seems that the "More genealogy tools" appears only on the *PUBLIC* view of a profile, not on the private view, where it would probably be far more useful.

Curiouser and curiouser...

Is there a threshold beyond which the ancestor and descendant buttons are activated? I see both of them on the profile of my great-great-grandfather Gaßmann-265, and I see the ancestor button for Deiß-75, but not the descendants button --- even though he has (currently) one son linked in the tree. (Even if there were no descendants at all, a pop-up window would be preferred to no button at all.) Deiß-71 has one ancestor (no button) and several descendants (with a button).

I think you'll find an 'Ancestors' button when there are grandparents, and a 'Descendants' button when there are grandchildren.

The descendants tree doesn't pop open for me on the profile pages unless I click the button.

I am still seeing the DESCENDANTS button on profile pages using Firefox (100.0.1, 64-bit, for Windows).  It appears on both the public profile and the private profile.

PS - But Firefox is telling me to restart to update. After I do that, I'll check for the DESCENDANTS button...
