New South Wales - Birth, Death and Marriages help

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows what the district numbers mean on the BDM searches. I have a family member, Clara Tucker, whose death is 1976, her parents are William and Emma and the District is 201. Another one I had was 001. I know how to find the old church codes but have no idea about these numbers. Any ideas?
