In the National Historical Museum in Athens, Greece there is a lead medal issued by the Island of Cephalonia to Lt. Colonel John Whitehill Parsons. It is dated 1838. I am looking to see if anyone can provide information about why such a medal would have been made.

Hi Peter,

If you edit this post and add additional topic tags such as Greece, military, medals, you will get the attention of members with experience in those areas.

If you want to link to the picture, it needs to be posted to the internet. The easiest way to do this is to upload it to the profile. Then you can link it here.
