need to find Ancestors of Brian Kenny b 1820 Westmeath Ireland

I am an enthusiastic genealogist and I appreicate all the help you fabulous wikitreers do to help, but I have to admit that I am having trouble understanding the site and information.  I am a direct decendant from Brian Kenny born 1820 in Westmeath Ireland.  His son William Kenny, my Gt Grandfather was born in London in 1873 and died 1950 in Bow Tower Hamletts in London,  and I would like to know more about Brian's ancestors because I want to go to Ireland to see where they lived while I am still able.  Thank you for your help so far. Hi, Christine. William and Brian don't have profiles at Wikitree, so it's difficult to know what sources you've already used or to suggest others which might be helpful.

Ancestry has a marriage record for William Kenny (pointsman, age 24, son of Brian Kenny, agent) to Rosina Osborn in Tower Hamlets in 1868. Would these be yours? Do you know if Brian had other children, where they were born, whether he was married in England or Ireland? Collecting more information about others in the family might help to piece together Brian's background and point you to his family in Ireland.
