Can I word or phrase search through all the profiles I have created?

I have many profiles under management and would be interested to know how I might word or phrase search them to find one I am trying to locate quickly without having to step through the all. Beyond categorisation and profile naming search criteria.

Pat, have you tried putting together a Google search for whatever you're trying to locate?  For example, if I take a quick look at your profile and want to find profiles you have created for others from your home town, I can Google-search for

site:www.wikitree.com Pat McCallum Toowoomba Queensland

and I get about 10 hits (followed then by a bunch of stuff that doesn't appear to fit all those criteria, but I'm not sure why).  You might try playing around with different forms of the query to see what seems to work best.  As long as you include the "site:www.wikitree.com" and your name, the search should be restricted to this site (and perhaps other sites that mention Wikitree) and profiles that have your name in them, not necessarily as manager.

Thanks Dennis, I thought of that but didn't try it because I thought the search parameters wouldn't pass through well. I have to keep reminding myself that I am searching web pages.

I found what I was looking for.

Pat
Thanks for the star Pat

Wikitree + can search your watch list profiles but he does 'limited' searching of the bio.  You can check for templates, categories, suggestions (if you have several that are similar).

You can use the Ancestor Explorer app, although you can only use it for the ancestors of a particular WikiTree ID and not your watchlist. Under “list type/criteria” select “Bio Text”.

Looking at the responses it sounds like the future enhancement on the BioCheck list (Add the ability to search for any given phrase in the biography, or perhaps the absence of a phrase) would be of use.

I will look at adding this.
