US Black Heritage Project slavery documentation class

Hello everyone! I wanted to make sure that all of WikiTree knew that the US Black Heritage Project began hosting a monthly class last month to cover our Heritage Exchange process--which means how we take a slavery era document, add that information to WikiTree, then turn it into profiles for enslaved ancestors. This Zoom class is open to all WikiTree members who would like to know what to do when they come across slavery information during their research.

During each class we'll choose a different document and organically, on the spot, show you how we process it.

This class will be hosted every 2nd Tuesday of the month (except December). 4:30pm Pacific/7:30 Eastern.

If you are interested in attending, please start on our help page (linked below) for learning the process and walk through the basics. Then use the registration link at the bottom of the help page to register for the class.

Classes will be recorded so if you can't make it, check out the linked recordings.

The classes for 2023 will be October 10th and November 14th.
