Shared Photo: Lillian Bradley Foley

This photograph is a cherished memory of my late grandmother, a woman whose life journey was marked by both resilience and tenderness. In her early years, she faced the challenge of an abusive marriage to Willie Gene Bradley, a union that she ultimately left in pursuit of a better life. Following her divorce, she embraced a new chapter and remarried, though details of her life thereafter remain largely unknown. Known for her gentle and loving nature, especially as a mother, she is remembered fondly by those who knew her. Tragically, her life was cut short at the young age of 58, when she succumbed to a muscle disease. Her legacy lives on in the few photographs and the warm memories shared by her loved ones.

Oh my goodness, her tender, loving nature sure comes through in this photo. 

Just look at those eyes!!  I can't remember when I've seen such compassionate understanding in someone's eyes.

Hi Tammy!  You are my 10th cousin.  Teresa Conant who answered your post is my 9th cousin.  I bet you and Teresa are connected also!

Now, Lilian Foley's profile needs some help.  Family Search says she was married to Gene Bradley, and then  Hurbert Tuttle.  So in her profile, her current last name should be Tuttle with "other last names" Bradley.

Also, there are no sources.  Family Search list 8 sources that could be used.

I am going to go ahead and fix the profile and you can then review it and adjust the information as needed.  Working together we can make her profile shine!

Thank you for sharing this lovely photo and history with us Tammy! Lillian looks very warm and loving. She must have been very brave to get a divorce at that time in history.
