I wanted to share this photo I found of Franklin Hastings with the community. Location: unknown. Date: 1943. he was MIA WWII South Pacific. He is my great-grandfather's brother. I am just learning his story.

Thank you for letting us know about your recently discovered Uncle Jude. It's an honor to another of our war heroes, but sad to discover the high price he paid for us.

I commend you, and all those at WT, who work on WWII flyer profiles.  So many extraordinary men were lost to us, but the flyers are especially close to my heart.

What a touching photo.  It is a reminder of the high price that so many paid in the South Pacific during World War II.  I salute Franklin Hastings and thank you for sharing this tribute.  Let us not forget their service.
