Yes. There is a special category for Prisoners of War held at Andersonville. That is in addition to the general died as a Prisoners of War sticker (the sticker only places him the POW category, but not Andersonville).
I added the categories for POW Andersonville, Andersonville National Cemetery, stickers for POW, Died Disease (stickers add those categories. I added his death record from Andersonville. Added some service info. Added his wife. I also added the photo of his grave marker at Andersonville. The photo is courtesy of Kevin Frye, Andersonville Historian. He has given permission for the Civil War Project to add his photos to our profiles.
I could not find a pension file for Joseph Scovil. I expected a widow's pension and minor child pension. Did not find those. Searched under Scovil, Scovile, Scoville. Not there. Widow remarried, but there still should have been something for his child, William.
After the Connect-a-thon is over, I will go back and review his profile to see if I missed anything.
Andersonville prisoners went through Hell. So, we should give their profiles all the attention we can. They earned that respect.
