I am creating profiles for two people born in Nebraska in 1907 and 1908. The Nebraska, U.S., Birth Ledgers, 1904-1911, Birth Index, 1912-1994 collection on Ancestry contains records for them, but all of the birth ledgers prior to 1912 seem to use a numerical code for the city and county names. This code is not defined in the collection's description, and the county codes do not appear to correspond to the modern FIPS codes. I tried doing Google searches for "historical nebraska city and county codes" and similar terms but was unable to find anything.
