looking for info on Casper Willem Johannes van Zyl born on 6 June.

Question

I am looking for my grandfather Casper Willem Johannes van Zyl born on 6 June, not too sure about the year. he was married to Catherine (van Dyk) van Zyl born 22 December 1926. he was from Calvinia and my gran from Roberson in Cape Town. He worked at the train station as a "shunter". we also learned that he fought for the Allied Forces during World War 2.

In my data I have a Van Zyl with exactly the same names: Casper Willem Johannes (*11-07-1893), farmer at Graafwater. He married (27-04-1914 / Leipoldtville) to Christina Johanna Alberta Geusteyn. Could they be the parents of ''your'' Casper?

Indeed I have more info about your granddad. He was baptized 08-08-1893 in Clanwilliam and married your grandma 27-09-1914 in Leipoldtville.
His parents were: Gideon Johannes David van Zyl (born 19-03-1868) and Maria Berendina Johanna Elizabeth Geysteyn (same family name as your grandma ;-))
I should be glad to receive the data / names of your dad and ma (and yours !!), so I can join them to the database.
