I'm looking for proof of the Parents of Edward Goff (abt 1804-1880) m: Isabella Coleman (abt 1805-1870).

Question

I'm looking for verifiable proof of Edward Goff's parents to complete my application for a supplement Patriot in the SAR.  I have verifiable lineage up to: David Charles (1832-1863) m: Elizabeth Goff (1837-1922).

Elizabeth's parents were: Edward Goff (abt 1804-1880) m: Isabella Coleman (abt 1805-1870). I also have verification of this.

I need proof of Edward's parents.  I had thought is was George Gray Goff (1782-1867) m: (Joanna Simca Goff (1782-1861).  But this may not be the case.  If it's not George, who would it be and where can I find a proof document?

I know this is an old question, but it has been proven through a Goff DNA study that

 George Gray Goff and Joanna Goff

 are not the parent of

 Edward Goff (b abt 1804 Tazewell, VA)

Edward's parents remain a mystery as of the date of the posting of this answer.  This is my Goff line as well and if anyone has any solid leads there are many of us endlessly searching for an answer.
