New father created instead of connecting existing profile

Question

Hubbard-4021 generated rather than connecting Hubbard-2482 even with the box checked.  (I had sources in the record referencing adding a first wife.)

Does this profile need to be deleted or is a merge preferred?

We always merge duplicates.  Profiles can't be deleted.  Thank you for asking first.

Is anyone with sufficient access able to take a look and complete the merge?

Checking the box means they are not a match. Notice Hubbard-2482 is in the Rejected Match column at the bottom of Hubbard-4021's page. One of the options when the duplicate appeared should have been "set as father" or something like that.

Profiles normally can't be deleted, so it needs to be merged.

I was working from the Add Father link by ID and adding info so that it would merge it in.  I'll undo the rejected match.
