Facinating article.  I sent the link to one of my friends that lives in Woodbridge, VA.  She is an historian and has worked with several cemetery groups over the years. Wish more people would get involved with research/cleanup of historic cemeteries. Thanks for posting this.

I love the thought of cleaning up old cemeteries. I am from Santa Fe NM, and on of the oldest cemeteries has been neglected for so long. After several of us voicing our concern, a clean up day was formed. Volunteers went out and made a big difference! The clean up continues!
