Saturday is Armed Forces Day in the United States. Are you doing anything special in WikiTree to celebrate?

Have you looked at the Military and War Project?  It includes all military projects world-wide.

  • You could honor your ancestors who served in military conflicts by adding templates that identify their military service.
  • Maybe you want to look at some of the resource links on that page to see if you can add new sources to your profiles.
  • You may want to create a profile for a family member or a notable person who served in the military.

Thank you to all you WikiTree members who are military veterans or current service men and women!

Wow, thank you Star for recognizing our Armed Forces and the special day that we celebrate their service on, each year. This week, I have been adding former WACS or Women's Army Corps members that I knew during my service in the military (1968-1988). I have been adding the tag [[Category: Women's Army Corps]] on their profiles along with [[Category: US Army]].

Since I joined WikiTree, I also have been adding my relatives that were veterans of the Vietnam War and other wars as I find sources for them. A couple have been added to the Wall of Honor. I like the templates especially for the veterans so they can proudly show on their profile that they served with honor. Thank you for the "Military and War Project". Very nice profile, Paula!  I was not familiar with her, but she is now one of my heroes.  Thank you for your work on this profile.
