Need information on Maria Scott ,Mayo-1604 her father Gov. John Mayo II, and mother Abigail DeHart

Was she buried at 1862 Powhatan,  Virginia or did she go to Italy any Websites that will  help with my research,  Thanks

I am not that familiar with Virginia or North Carolina Mayo's. However I will be glad to try to help with New England and New York Mayo's.

According to the tombstone photo on her Find A Grave page, she died in Rome, Italy and was buried next to her husband in the United States Military Academy Post Cemetery, West Point, Orange County, New York. Her body may have been shipped to the United States for burial.
