BIRTH 12 DECEMBER 1935 • Indiana, Allen, Indiana, USA

DEATH ABT 1992 • maybe - New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana, United States

Mother: Sylvia Elizabeth Lawrence

Father: Wayne Earnest Harges

My 2nd cousin - I can vaguely remember visiting him in New Orleans with my father. Gene (Geno, Gino) was always very sickly though I don't know why. When my father died in 1977, most contact ceased. And, I can not find out when exactly Gene died or where he is buried. He always lived with his mother and she died 2-3 years after him and is buried in Indiana. Geno is not buried with her. For some reason, other family members believe he may have been buried in an indigent cemetery in NOLA - Gene was in the Marines and is in Leavenworth, Kansas, USA in 1953 - IF he was a prisoner, it must not have caused him to be discharged as he is listed in the Marines Muster Roll in Oct 1954 and in 1956 he is in San Francisco - I completely lose him after that, except remembering my visits. I'm at a dead end with him... no pun intended...His neices and nephews/and myself would love to solve this..Any help would be appreciated. Thank you ~ Char

Yes,that is him as a young boy! I lose him in any record after 1956..the only thing I have after that is a memory of my father visiting him...and that was probably in the early 70s... I can't understand anyone not doing an obit...but I have searched for that too - to no avail. However, if his mother could not afford to bury him, wouldn't the military since he served in the Marines...
