How do I fix a profile for a second wife who is listed with the surname of first husband?

I just adopted the profile for Elizabeth Arnold Hawkins Smith (Hawkins-2105) to facilitate profile cleanup. Her husband is Israel Smith-41853. I know that this Elizabeth is actually Elizabeth Arnold-729 who was married to William Hawkins-476, who died in 1712. In 1716, Elizabeth married Israel Smith-41853 as her second husband. I would like to request a merge of Arnold-729 and Hawkins-2105, but need to know the correct procedure. Should I edit her last name to be Arnold from Hawkins and then request the merge? Or should I request the merge with different last names?

Hi Colleen, you can propose the merge with different last names, LNAB can be selected or changed at merging time.
