Booker Prewett lives in Hudsonville, Breckinridge,Kentucky in 1880 with her her cousin, William Meador. Also listed are Luther Prewett (15), Susie Prewett (12), George Prewett (7), and Alfred Prewett (4).

"United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MCC3-1P5 : 11 August 2016), Luther Prewett in household of William Meador, Hudsonville, Breckinridge, Kentucky, United States; citing enumeration district ED 23, sheet 81C, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 0405; FHL microfilm 1,254,405.

Is Booker Prewett the mom of the kids? And what are the odds that this is my Luther Prewett (who may have had his siblings, George and Susie, mistakenly listed as his parents on his death certificate)?

I am having trouble proving anything. I know that Luther Prewett was born in Kentucky and died in Illinois. I know he married Josephine Lucas. I know he had five children, Wilbur, Nora, Elbert, Gobel, and Joseph. But I have come to realize I have no idea where he "comes from". I really need to find out more.

EDITED:

So Booker is the mother of the younger ones according to this 1900 census where she is living with George and he is listed as her son.

In the 1900 census, if you go up one line in the image, you will see Susan Pruitt listed as the mother-in-law of Booker, so Luther's parents may have been Susan and George, with his brother and sister named for them.  Unfortunately, there is no age given for Susan.
I have been searching for a George and Susan Pruitt in hopes of finding something, but I'm coming up empty so far. I know they would have been born before 1842 (when their daughter-in-law was born), so that gives me a date to look before anyway. Thanks for your input, Gayel.
