Are You My Cousin?

I was inspired by a space page created by Emma (McBeth) MacBeath M.Ed MSM to create my own personal category page [[Category:Ryker-100 Cousins]] (which I may move to a personal Space page later).

Check out my table of Wiki cousins. Are we related?

----

Edit:

I combined the relationship and the recheck by turning the relationship into a link.

I also tried to add numerical sorting to the relationship column, but wikitree isn't sorting based on the data-sort-value like it should. It is still treating it like text instead of numbers.

Also, created the space page: Richard Thomas Ryker - Wiki Cousins

Your relationship to george washingron is incorrect because Thomas Dymoke did not have a daughter Margaret. all relarionships connected to Thomas Dymoke  are incorrect, Remove the erroneous connection from Margaret dymoke to Thomas dymoke and then see how many "famous cousins" you have left. I would like to see who would be left after you remove that incorrect relationship. Is this genealogy or mythology here?

'All relarionships (sic.) connected to Thomas Dymoke are incorrect...' Who are you kidding? You just wrote this without referencing any evidence whatsoever. As for apparently confusing genealogy with mythology, the only person doing that is you.

You need to try to be more polite.
Wendy, that is up to the profile manager of that profile. Contact them directly.
To whom are you replying to? I don't even believe I have said person on my tree.
We are 14th cousins (uncertain). We both descend from John Kinge. BUT- many of the Kinge line have no sources, and as that person is the only one we have in common- I would say no.
Hi! We are 17th cousins, once removed thru Montagu-8 - John Montagu de Montagu
Ever heard of Romeo and juliet?

Scott and Richard are 8th cousins

Scott Wessel and Richard Ryker are both descendants of Peter (DeMaree) Demarest.

Hello again, Cousin Scott! I already have you in my list! smiley

Tables look great, you've got to minor linking issues with John Whitney and Thomas Tarbell II

And to answer your question, yes; 19th cousins 1x removed

Hello Cousin!

Yes! You and I are 13th cousins, 1x removed.

Your table is great, and I may copy it. My profile page has gotten too long and cluttered and the relationships on it could be moved. Now, which would be better, a Category page or a Space page? I am leaning toward Space. But then again, I already have a Personal Category page I haven't used enough. I love yours.

I got mine up, but I need to re-check everyone, as trees change. Maybe tomorrow I'll get my famous cousins moved over.

Are you My Cousin?

What a fun chart!  Thanks for sharing.  We are 10th cousins once removed for two different common ancestors.  We connect with our Blessing/Towne family that was involved with the Salem Witch Trials of 1692.

Yes, we're 12th cousins twice removed!  I've wanted to do this also but was unsure as to how to create the new page.

Well, you can borrow my layout.

I combined the relationship and the recheck by turning the relationship into a link.

I also tried to add numerical sorting to the relationship column, but wikitree isn't sorting based on the data-sort-value like it should.
Thanks!!!

Boo hoo ... no, I'm not your cousin ... at least, not that I know of ... that is, not YET!  I'm not anyone's cousin, except for the ones I added ... and none of them are anyone's cousin yet, either, outside of my watchlist.

I am "connected" to the tree, though, but very distantly (in most cases, more steps than WikiTree's calculation cutoff) and through at least 3 marriages to get to the person who is related to others on the tree.

If anyone can help me to become related, I'd be ever so grateful!!!!

That just means that you are as yet an undiscovered cousin. We'll get you there eventually.

Awww, THANX, Richard make that cuz2B!

Possibly, 10th cousins 1x removed; however, I didn't add the Woodward line and it needs more source info.

I do like the cousin idea. Wish I had thought of it. Up til now, I kept a list of notables on my computer, and I bookmarked the profiles of my living relations I've met on Wikitree.

Well, I already know we are cousins ;-)

And to give credit where it is due, I originally got the chart that was passed on to you from Julie Ricketts who graciously shared with me.

Using the Relationship Finder, I found we are 13th cousins.  We both share an ancestor called Thomas Kemp MP.

Very nice!  And yes--we're 11th cousins through Isaac Stearns (Stearns-36,) and then some: 239 common ancestors. :)

So far I found we're 14th cousins four times removed.

Our common ancestor is William Carter: "William Carter is a member of the royalty, nobility or aristocracy in the British Isles."
