Why is it that sometimes information doesn't show up in the public profile?

I added lots of information but no one can see it.

Hi Devon.  It looks as if you may have reacted to Eva's answer, because I noticed a stray </ref> tag at the very bottom of the Sources section.  What you need to do, for inline sourcing, is enclose each individual source citation in its own pair of tags, and retain just the <references/> tag immediately after the Sources header.  Take a look at this page in the Help file and see if it makes sense.  If not, please post again.

Maybe not as a reaction. I think I just didn't see it down there.

I think the best thing right now would be to just remove the <ref> and </ ref> - always leaving the <references/>

Then think it over, if you really want and need to use inline references righ now.

I removed the ref tags. (I say "tags" because there was a closing tag in addition to the opening tag, but the closing tag wasn't formatted correctly, and it was misplaced at the end of the profile instead of the end of a footnote.)

And I inserted ref tags around one of the cited sources to show what a footnote should look like. But I'm not sure if I put it in the right place, because I couldn't tell for sure which text was supposed to go with which source. If I guessed wrong, please move the footnote!

Ha ha, that's exactly what I did.  Had no idea.  Had looked at the profile of Rufus's son and had tried to make it look the same, but it didn't seem to work.  Thanks for helping to make the fix.
Thank you for helping, Dennis.
Whatever happened, Ellen, it's now fixed.
