In 1921, John Ritchie was a 29 year old scowman born in NB.  He lived with his wife "Jonna" Ritchie, 26 b. Scotland, in Saint John (City), New Brunswick, with two children, Jonna, 3, and John, 1. John's father was born in England and his mother "at sea.". The children were born in NB. Jonna came to Canada in 1913.(Ancestry.com. 1921 Census of Canada [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 2013.
Original data: Library and Archives Canada. Sixth Census of Canada, 1921. Ottawa, Ontario, Canada: Library and Archives Canada, 2013. Series RG31. Statistics Canada Fonds. Reference Number: RG 31; Folder Number: 36; Census Place: Saint John (City) - Brook´s Ward, St John and Albert, New Brunswick; Page Number: 12) (
You can probably find this census free online at the Library and Archives Canada.)

John and Joanna were married on 29 Oct 1916. (The right had page is missing, so I can't see the date.) John was a 25 year old laborer born at Grafton, NB, the son of Frank and Florence. He lived in St. John West and was Church of England.  Joanna, 21, lived in St. John, but she was born in Liverpool, England.  Her parents were John and Joanna Short, and she was Presbyterian.  The witnesses were Norman McLean and and Martha Eagles, both of St. John. No church is shown on the record. Another record shows that they were married at the Church of St. John.("New Brunswick Provincial Marriages 1789-1950," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVBF-2CSG : 6 March 2015), John Ritchie and Joanna Short, 28 Oct 1916; citing , , New Brunswick, Canada, p. , Provincial Archives of New Brunswick, Fredericton; FHL microfilm 2,024,768.)
