You didn't give much information to go on in this case, but the merge process can be read about on the Help:Merging page.
Since you have the pre-1700 badge, you should be able to merge these profiles as long as you are the profile manager or on the trusted list for both profiles. Otherwise, you will need confirmation and approval from the profile manager(s).
