Jake Patterson

Question

My grandfather Mack Patterson's brother Jake Patterson was born in 1888 in Randolph County Arkansas. He married Mary Giles in 1910 in Randolph County Arkansas and married Ella Lee in 1918 in Randolph County Arkansas.

 Someone has told me that his real Name is Gilbert David Patterson and his nickname was Jake. Both of his marriage certificates has Jake Patterson on them. His WWI draft has Jake.  His Head stone has Jake Patterson

Could some show me a document with Gilbert David Patterson aka Jake on it?

My fathers name is Gilbert David Patterson and my older brother is named Gilbert David Patterson Jr.

In my family the only two men called Jake were actually named Jacob.

Looked for the proof you asked for on the Gilbert David Patterson name and did not find anything with the birth, marriage and death dates you had.

As far as his tombstone,It is possible what you see was placed there by a relative.He did use Jake,Find A Grave also shows,Gilbert David Patterson.

I have seen several grave markers that were in error.Find A Grave record

could be possibly wrong.
