another possible bogus lineage

Question

Jean Piet dit Trempe married fille du roy Marguerite Chemereau/Chamereau.  Neither marriage contract nor marriage act survives.  He is however attached to supposed parents.  Can someone take a look at him and see if it is even possible?  

Also, there was an Antoine Piet who died in Québec city, the little bit of data about him is in research notes on the profile.  Any possibility of their being related?  They are both said to be from Saintonge.

This lineage doesn't look right at all.  It has the usual problems associated with incorrect lineages of immigrants to New France-ancestors appear across various regions in France, and the names are curiously all ones that later propagated in New France.  Plus, Marie Bourgeois's parents would have been four years of age at the time of her birth.  Unless others can provide some further evidence supporting these relationships, I would say that Jean Piet is a good candidate for having his parents removed and being project protected.

that's what I thought, particularly when I saw a grandfather named Petit rather than Piet.  Don't need fake lines.  Marie Bourgeois is another name that rang alarm bells, there are a few by that name who came here.  Will detach, if you could put ppp on it, can add the project as manager also.

now if somebody could look in Ste-Radegonde parish of Saintes diocese, there is an Antoine Piet who died in 1690 in Québec, age 41 per the hospital record, of that parish.  The name only shows up here for these two men in this generation, Jean is said to be from that diocese also, and the interesting item is that his second son is named Antoine.  Wondering if they are somehow related.

Is there an indication of the name of the place? That would help a lot. Sainte-Radegonde is the name of the church. The name actually has a lot of occurrences in this part of West France (Saintonge and Poitou).

EDIT - Oh, there is actually a village called Sainte-Radegonde near Saintes. Hopefully we won't need to look further :)

Piette is not. It is from the North of France. All the Piettes Geneanet has in the period and the area are unsourced copies of our Piette dit Trempe (some with parents from Fourmies, Nord - probably from Select Marriages).

But there are some Piets, principally in La Rochelle and Montguyon. The name was still most frequent in neighboring Deux-Sèvres in the late 19th-early 20th century.

The Piette spelling is actually modern for him, all documents seen spelled it Piet except the last one.

The dreaded Nicolas/Granjehan couple is among the "ancestors". They have duplicates all over the place with various descendants. And one of the women is named Anatolia. That's a very unlikely name.
