Did Fear Brewster and Isaac Allerton Have a Daughter Rose?

Question

I can find no evidence that Fear Brewster, daughter of William Brewster, and her husband, ''Mayflower'' passenger Isaac Allerton, had a daughter named Rose.  Rose was born about 1633 and married a Tucker, lived  in Virginia, and died there in 1712.  Unless there is a source for Rose being a child of Fear and Isaac, I propose to disconnect her as a child of Fear Brewster Allerton.

I didn't see the above link as a source record. It pertains to the family you're writing about, but gives no clues to Rose's existance.

I also found this exchange which argues against Rose being an Allerton:

She *might* have been a Sturman, but there is still doubt about that. So, I would conclude that Rose who married Tucker in Virginia should be "Unknown" with "Allerton (disproven), Sturman (unproven)" in the Other Last Names field.

If there isn't a source to back it up - then I agree - remove the profile.  

 

I would suggest leaving a link to the 'removed' profile in case evidence does surface ... this would keep one from adding a duplicate profile for a person already in the Wikitree database.

Just checked on this. I see that the Changes tab does not record when a child / parent relationship is changed.

Correct.  Which can cause problems down the road trying to get new profiles merged with the removed profiles if  research shows there was a relationship.

 

I try and leave a bit with link to the removed profile in the bio or on the bb for any familial changes - because they won't show on the ''changes'' page.

I attempted to find the former Rose profile to include a link in the Brewster/Allerton profile, but without success. One cannot search for anyone with the surname Unknown. :-(
