There are TWO Permelia Snells who married Conover men, both in my family. They are only two years different in age, with the elder woman the NIECE of the younger.
Permelia Snell Snell-2059: b. in Warren or Clermont Co, OH, 25 Oct 1819, is daughter of Daniel Snell and Sarah Peckenpaugh. She married Annanias Conover in 1839, had 8 children with him, and died in in 1858 in SW OH.
Permelia Snell Snell-2810: b. 21 Jan 1821 in Warren Co, OH, is daughter of Henry Snell (Daniel's father) and second wife Permelia Strong Atkins. This Permelia married her younger sister's widower, who was Samuel Milton Conover (Conover-488)
Now let me get the profile numbers for the two Permelias. My source is a very well-documented book of descendants of Henry Snell, privately printed in 1997. I do not have original documents for all the data in this book, but I knew the authors and corresponded with them for a number of years.
