Searching for my mom's birthmother, possibly Viola nee THompson (1923-1995(

Question

Hi! My name is Heather Hartt-Sussman. My mother Linda Joan Bloomfield Hartt was adopted in March of 1942. We have found her now deceased birthfather (RONALD BARSTOW) and are looking for her mother. Through Ancestry DNA we have narrowed it to three sisters, Kathleen, Viola or May Thompson all born in Canada (I believe New Brunswick). Does this ring any bells?

If you can provide additional information we might be able to help. More information on Ronald will even help you narrow down your search... who were his parents, where was he born, when did he die, where was he living in 1943?

Line up that information with the suspected sisters^ where were they living in 1943, do you know their parents names, which sister was in America in 1943 (when your mom was born... assuming she was born in the states)?

I believe that New Brunswick might fall within the Acadian project, and someone in the group might be able to help. Also, WikiTree has a page of resources for Ontario that includes many parts of Canada. Try there to see what you can learn. whatever details you can get about her birth father will make it easier. My mother-in-law, Grace Viola Thompson Steffen, born 13 May 1918 in Watertown, Carver, Minnesota; died 1 August 2009, Walnut Creek, Contra Costa, California.  Her sisters are: Lucille Muriel Louise Thompson Sandquist 1919 - 2015; Adele Bernice Thompson Thompson 1922 - Living in Wyoming; brother:  Norman Emanuel Thompson 1916 - 1991.
