erasing of vital records

Hi I am not sure if this is the correct area to list my concerns but please do not erase information that I place down because it is correct it shows where I got the information from and is correct. Please do not take away all of the hard work that I am placing down if you do not know for a fact that it was correctly wrong. Thanks Steph

P.S. this is the file www.wikitree.com/wiki/Smith-180358 that was started with the rest of the family that was erased.

I see a lot of profiles connected to that one, so what was "erased"? We don't delete profiles on WikiTree but someone could have become disconnected. You'll have to be a little more specific about what went missing.

on the profile listed above the other person takes away the cemetery name and other info and just leaves a link to the FAG.  the other person could have left cemetery name and location so you do not have to go to FAG to find out that info.

I've put the information back in with some minor formatting changes. I hope it meets with your approval, Steph. I'm sure the other member meant no harm, but it certainly would have been more appropriate to consult with you as profile manager before making that kind of change. You may want to contact her and politely ask her to contact you prior to making any major changes to the profiles you manage.

The template I've used for Find A Grave has become pretty much standard on WikiTree and links to the memorial without a lot of "extras" as it were.

Hi, when I look at the Changes tab, you are the only person who has been editing this profile.  Steph Ahles created it, and added her husband. But after that, all the edits are by you.

Maybe you made a change and forgot to save it?  I save everything I do on the computer CONSTANTLY, it's like a twitch.

Thank you for adding sources!

The tabs go across the top of the profile.  They look like this, and you can click on each one:

Anna (Smith) Heimer's Profile |  Edit | Images | Family Tree & Tools | Changes | Privacy

When I look at the changes tab on the profile listed above, I see her make the profile and make one change and then all the other changes are by someone else.  The DD takes away the cemetery name and other info and just leaves a link to the FAG.  I think she has a valid point.

Patricia, S Stevenson isn't the person who made the edits. wink

Patricia was not referencing me, she had made her comment before I had commented. it is all good.

If you look quickly at the changes tab, the names (original person than the changer) look similar.
Yes, don't know what I was thinking. lol. In any case, the information that was removed is back and hopefully, it won't get removed again.
