Malcom E Urann is in the 1930  and 1940 US Census. He was born in Maine in 1921 and was living in Sullivan Town, Hancock, Maine in 1940 at age 19. He had sister, Winnifredian who was two years older.

There are others with the same name as Malcolm, one died in Australia in 1986 Others were born in several different counties in England.

So, what country do you think he was born in and or married in?

Here is a Malcolm born in 1924

Would you have any thought on whether Maine would be is origin or Australia if you had to choose one or the other? If he was born in Maine in 1921 he would have to be 98 years old by now or maybe deceased.

Welcome, PJ!

To help, we need more info.  Where was your father born?  Where did he live?  Is he still alive?  Privacy rules forbid us sharing information about living people.  Since his children are probably still alive, the privacy issues are a major obstacle to helping you find siblings.

Wow! Thank you so much for responding to me! I will tell you all that I know. My father Malcolm, owned an import export business in Sydney Australia in 1964. My mother came to work for him and I am the product of their Union. I know he was married. I know that he has 4 children. I know that he wrote a book. I know that he drowned off his yacht within the last 20 years. I have found 3 people in my DNA matches who are 3rd and 4th cousins and 1 1st cousin whom I think is elderly and is not regularly on this site and has not responded to me. That is all I know and I don't know where to go from here.

You're welcome, and sorry I can't offer much.  The man Betty found is Uren-114.  He's about the right age, died in the last twenty years, and had four children, but otherwise he doesn't match your facts very well.  His father was a relatively well-known journalist and author, which leads to many false trails.

Tracing your Malcom will be very difficult because of privacy rules and the fact that he died relatively recently.  For example, Australian death records have to be more than 30 years old to become public.  Maybe there was an obituary or a news story about his death.  Good luck!

Herbert, I am thinking your Uren-114 is the one that matches the Wikipedia page I put a link for  The one son mentioned is same on that and the profile..  I see that there are some people listed on the profile page  that Herbert could check their dna against.  I would suggest that Frank upload his dna data to gedmatch and then after that is done, do a one-to-one for each of their kit #'s against his to see if there is a match.

Wikipedia Malcolm is Uren-113, the father of Malcolm Charles Uren
