Are there any clues at ancestry showing that Susan Gauley is related to Gabriella Gauley? Susan has a daughter named Gabriella.

Don't know about ancestry, but FS has Gabriella Gauley as marrying Benjaman F. Hawkins 10 Oct 1865 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KXJD-7GD) and dying 16 Feb 1905 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q2DV-N5W2)

I would think, given the same place for birth, the closeness of age, and that Susan named one of her children Gabriella, that there is reason to suppose they are sisters.  You would still need to verify that, though.

Not so helpful, I was specifically wondering what was available at Ancestry which is why I was specific in the question and description.

I am the one that created the individual records at FS for the women mentioned.
But it is a very good reminder not to trust trees created anywhere that have no sources.

For what it's worth, which may be nothing at all, an unsourced tree on Ancestry suggests that Susan Gauley is the daughter of Robert Franklin Gawley (b. 15 June 1796 in Virginia) and that Gabriella Gauley is the daughter of Robert's brother John Gawley (b. 6 March 1801 in Virginia). Robert and John are supposedly both sons of Thomas Gawley (b. 1765 in Ireland or Britain) and Jane Gibson (b. 1769 in Virginia).

As I mentioned there is not a single source attached to support any of that information, and I'm certainly not vouching for any of it, but maybe there's at least a useful clue in there somewhere.

Thank you. This is a good hint to start looking for connections.
