Edward was born Sep 1862^[1] in Washington, D.C. to Lybrun and Barbara Anderson^[2][3][4]. He remained single, continuing to live with his parents as an adult^[3][4] and worked as a carpenter^[4] and watchman^[5]. He died of pulmonary tuberculosis on 16 Sep 1907^{[5] [6]} and was buried two days later at Congressional Cemetery^[7].

1. ↑ The three census records disagree with another but the first is likely most accurate and it states that he turned 7 during the period of 18 Jul 1869 to 17 Jul 1870. The 1900 census gives a month of September and although it implies 1864 as the birth year, it is doubtful that the parents in 1870 would have confused a 5 year old as being 7. Additionally, his mother gave birth to a still-born child in Jul, 1864, which would certainly rule out a Sep, 1864 birth for Albert Edward.
