Biography
John was born about 1828. He died about 1880.
John served as a Private during the Civil War with Company D, 38th Infantry. He was imprisoned 4/3/1865 in Petersburg, Virginia. Confederate Side. He survived the war. (Record is on his Ancestry page) https://digital.ncdcr.gov/digital/collection/p16062coll21/id/1666
