George was the son of John and Elizabeth Barnes Married first to Mary Seaburn in 1820, then Elizabeth McAfee in 1830 and then to Rebecca Clayton in 1834.
Father of William, John and Mary (Shinkle) from his first marriage, Sarah from his 2nd and Henry, Rebecca, Hannah and George from his 3rd marriage.
