Biography

John William Birdsong was born on December 22, 1877, in Moniteau, Missouri.[1] He completed through the 8th grade, and was a farmer.[2] He was tall and of a medium build, with blue eyes and brown hair. [3]He married Maud Miller Allee on October 20, 1897, in Moniteau, Missouri. Permission was given by John's guardian, Preston Birdsong, and Maud's mother, Mary Jane Clifford.[4] In 1900, the two were living in Walker Township, Moniteau, Missouri, with their first son.[5] The family had grown by two daughters and was living in Moreau, Moniteau, Missouri in 1910,[6] where they lived through the birth of another son and the 1920 census.[7] Sometime before 1930, they had moved to Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas, with their youngest child.[8] By 1940, they had resettled in California, Moniteau, Missouri. John died on May 31, 1965 and buried in the Flag Spring Cemetery in California, Moniteau, Missouri.
