Biography

Caleb was born in 1827 and christened on the 4 February 1827 at St Thomas, Dudley Worcestershire, England^[1]

On the 3 December 1848 Caleb married Ann Davis at West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England^[2]. This event was also reported in the Worcestershire Chronicle^[3]

In the 1861 census Caleb and family are living West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom. He is an Iron Merchant employing 100 men And boys. he and Ann have five children, Alfred aged 8, Henry, Amelia aged 5, Phoebe age 3 and Charles age 1^[4]

Ann died shortly after this and Caleb remarried. His second wife was Frances Mary Eardley and they married on the 23 June 1864 at Southport, Lancashire, England^[5]

In 1881 census Caleb is living in Kensington, London, Middlesex, England. He is aged 54 and still an Iron Merchant. There is one son to this second marriage William Eardley Bloomer born 1865.^[6] There were six children still at home also two servants.

Caleb Bloomer died in 1892 aged 66 at Hampstead, London, England.^[7]
