Biography

James was born by calculation in 1778 since he joined the tax rolls in 1799 Albemarle,[1] Virginia. He would be 21 years of age so born about 1778.

Marriage Bond 8 Aug 1799 in Albermarle County, Virginia in Book "Marriages of Albemarle County and Charlottesville Virginia 1781-1929 by William L Norford Copywrighted by him 1956 see page 7 at familysearch.org He married 26 Aug 1799 Nancy Hill in Albemarle County, Virginia.

He is listed on the tax records of Albemarle, Virginia from 1799 until 1817 where he must have departed for Kentucky.

In 1810 census he had what matches to his family 2 males un 10 Abner and James, 1 male 10-15 Reuben, 1 male 26-44 James Boston, 2 females un 10 Catherine and Marion, 1 femle 26-44 Nancy

In 1814 he is listed as a Miner.

In 1820 they are in the Census of Campbellsville, Green County, Kentucky and the family looked like this 3 m un 10 William B Boston, John H Boston and ?, 2 m 10-15 James W Boston & Thomas W Boston, 1 m 16-18 Abner Boston, 1 m 16-25 Reuben Boston, 1 m over 45 James Ewell, 4 f un 10 Marion Boston, Sarah Boston and ? and ?, 1 f over 45 Nancy Hill Boston
