Charles Bussey was born on 29 Jun 1802 in Jasper, Pickens, Georgia, United States, son of Benjamin West Bussey (1774–1838) and Mary Molly Burgamy (1779–1826). ^[1]

Charles (19) married Almeda Leverett (15) (born on 22 Jan 1806 in Georgia, USA; daughter of Thomas Jefferson Leverett and Mary Ann (Griffin) Leverett) on 1 Jan 1822 in Putnam County, Georgia. ^[2] Their children were:

When Charles Burgamy Bussey was born on June 29, 1802, in Jasper, Georgia, his father, Benjamin West Bussey, was 27 and his mother, Mary "Polly" Burgamy, was 22. He married Almeda Leverett on January 1, 1822, in Putnam, Georgia. They had ten children in 22 years. He died on September 15, 1867, in Anderson, Texas, at the age of 65.
