Parents of 8 sons and 5 daughters. Served in the Civil War with the 28th AL. Speculators bought land and took possession of it, so he without any land.
He moved back to Blount Co., AL. Moved to Benton Co. now Calhoun Co., AL bought land from the Indians. When the Indians were removed, land was put on market by the gov't. He purchased a negro girl in his fathers sale.
Death
He died 13 MAR 1884 in Etowah Co., Alabama. He is buried at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallant, Etowah Co., Alabama.[1]
