Married Jan 28, 1762 by Charles Hoff (Huff?), Esq to Mrs Catherine (Weller) Mayberry. Farmer and miller by trade. Executor of his fathers will in which he spelled his name correctly on the inventory and was left 25 pounds by his father.
He at one time claimed ownership of an enslaved woman, Zilva,(also owned by several generations of Wellers: Philip Weller, Philip Jr, and Philip III.) Zilva lived to be 100 years old, died in 1932, and is buried in the Weller family cemetery in Stewartsvillle, Greenwich Twp., Warren County, New Jersey. Her grave is marked with a headstone.

Rest of estate to be sold, and after debts paid, divided into 7 parts - one share each to daughters Mary Alp, Elizabeth Hendrickson, son John Creveling, interest of one share to daughter, Ann Hendrickson for life and at her death to her children by first and second husbands, one share to daughter, Christiian Eveland and to her daughter, Margaret (wife of William Woolever), and one share to each of daughters, Margaret Baylor , Sarah Fritts. Executors -son, John Creveling and son-in-law, John Alp (Olp). Witnesses --Michael Baylor (son-in-law), Jacob Larue, and William Runkle.
