She was born on September 1st 1831 to John Davis and Lucy Forbes. On September 3rd, she was baptised at the local Roman Catholic church [1][2]. In 1841, she lived with her family in Bell Street[3].
In the summer of 1850, Frances married Patrick Kelly[4]. They initially lived in Ranter's Bank[5] before spending a few years in America. They had returned to North Shields by the birth of their fourth child in 1856 and in 1861 the family were living in Bell Street[6].
By 1871, the Kellys had moved to 40 Nelson Street[7], where they remained[8][9]. Frances died in North Shields in January 1902 [10][11] and was buried in Preston Village[12].
