Elizabeth Dickson was born on 8 February 1849, at Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland, to Scottish parents Walter Dickson (1818 – 1865) and Janet McNab (1821 – 1872). [1]

On 30 March 1851 the Dickson family lived in Hugh Street, Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland. [2] Walter Dickson (38) Cast Wright & Janet Mcnab (31) with children Mary Dickson (7), Alexr Dickson (4), Elizabeth Dickson (2) and Servants James Desow (16) & Catherin Desow (16).

Minnie (Mrs. Saw), Rosa (deceased), Leslie, Colin, also foster-grandma of Jack, Douglas. George, Reggie, great-great-grandma of little Bobby, aged 91 years. Sweet rest at last.
MARRS.— On May 23, at Melbourne, Ellzabeth, beloved wife of the late Stephen Marrs aged 91 years. Colonist of 87 years. [7]

Elizabeth was buried in the Footscray General Cemetery at Footscray, Victoria. [8]
